|
|
Installed GB TTN5 on my PDA, but as I bought it for the sole use in the US when travelling I then purchased the US maps and switched to them.
Back in the UK now and tried to switch to the GB map to test it out here to try and replicate some issues I had been having in the US and discovered that GB is no longer an option and I now only have US as an option.
How can I get the GB map to re-appear without re-installing?
Both maps are on the same SD card and the GB map did work when testing when I first installed it. Not sure when it stopped as I switched to the US one as soon as I installed it.

Have you updated the application from 5.0 to 5.21 ? _________________ Lutz

Do you still have the Serial number/Activation code for the UK map?
Also, did you log anything into your profile with TomTom?
Or have you contacted TomTom and explained the situation?
Sorry, nothing else to offer. _________________ (If it ain't broke, I can soon fix it) |

I still have the serial/activation code, and it was 5.21 when installed.
I have just twigged what may have caused it though.
After I had installed it (and switched to the US maps), I removed the SD card with both maps on and put the TT SD card back in to make a backup to a CF card I have spare. It tried to start the install, which I cancelled, did my backup and swapped cards back.
Never thought anything of it, but I wonder if that was enough to somehow make it forget the UK map!
PDA would maybe benefit from being flattened and reinstalled. If I do that will my activation code work as it's still the same hardware? Although it would be nice to avoid that just yet. |

yes, the activation code will continue to work.
Re-installing the PDA is a good idea. It's amazing how much, uhm, garbage can accumulate over time on it. _________________ Lutz
