HI IAM NEW TO THIS DOWNLOAD LARK, I HAVE TRIED TO DOWNLOAD THE SPEED CAMARA FILE TO MY NAVMAN ICN 530 AND WHEN I GO TO THE POI FILE IT COMES UP WITH "UNKNOWN FILE FORMAT" WHAT IS THIS?PLEASE

Hi when i go into the POI Editor and go to open text file then go into folder for the file then click ok to open it comes up with the message

thanks | If I remember correctly, there are 2 different formats that you can use on the Navman (CSV & ASC?) one of them needs to be edited (first line deleted?). Is that any help? _________________ Jock

Are you sure you have downloaded the correct file type? you need the .asc files and these no longer require the text edit to the first line have a read through this guide http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras-navman.php it explains the installation routine on the Navman system in detail
One other thought, you have un-zipped the downloaded file so it shows the different files withing the download before using the POIEditor? - Mike |

That depends on your preference. The single file version does not differentiate between camera types, the consolidated by type version does and the speed zoned version separates every camera by speed. Each one takes more time to install in that order with the speed zoned taking the most time. _________________ Darren Griffin |
