|

Well im new to gps systems and i just got a navman icn520 and have managed to corrupt it in some way and it no longer works, i turn it on and it just goes to the background picture of the car bonnet and nothing else, i try updating via the pc and it gives me error message something like "appstartupsec.exe is in use or is in rom, try and reload" and fails to install. Before this all happened it was working fine but the language was set to english-us and i wanted english-uk so i deleted all the files in the strings folders on the icn that were not enguk. I think that this has caused my problem and i would be very grateful if someone could email me their folders from their icn520 as attachments, all the folders except storage card and windows as i didnt touch these. Thanks |

Hi
Go to page 70 of the PDF manual. (smartST desktop, tools, manual). Follow the procedure. It will do the trick. Have a look at my other posts, this has been coverd on many a thread.
Welcome to the world of GPS.

thanks for the reply but i have managed to resolve the problem by finding the scripts files in the backup folder on the device and copying and pasting to the program files folder. |
