Hi.
using version 7 maps with version 3.10 wass/Egnos enabled, from cold ie first switch on in the morning good visibility of sky(West Yorkshire) no reflective windscreen using built in aerial .It can take up to about 3 or 4 minutes to aquire sat's?
Is this the normal?
How long does it take for other people's i3's to lock on?
Or could the unit be faulty? |

im using 2.7 and it only takes a few seconds for me. I read somewhere that the batteries should always be inserted to help find sataellites quickly. Im assuming the batteries put the unit to standby rather than totally switching off so the satellites can be locked onto quickly. |

The batteries do indeed speed up aquiring the satellites.

Yeah I think it does, I was on 2.7 at first and am now on 3.1, it does seem to take a couple of minutes longer now. |
