Hello.
Another quick question regarding the go 910.
Right, i've set up the go 910 to reduce it's brightness when it gets dark and also to trn to night mode when it gets dark.
Me being me put me whole finger over the light sensor on the top of the go 910 and it wouldn't do either of the above.
Does this only happen when it's docked on the windscreen? Has anyone else had this problem?
Let us know,

If its causing a problem for you, you should probably contact TomTom on their website. They might have a fix for it. |

I had the same problem. I put my finger over it and nothing happens. I think it knows you are trying to fool it and does nothing. I've driven through tunnels and at night, and the brightness does change. |

My first unit didn't work either. Got a new one today from Dixons and this one works fine. Take it back, it's faulty. |

Just a word of warning, I thought my 510 light sensors was faulty, but after some investigation I can confirm the following.
Do not expect an instant switch to Night view if you put your hand over the sensor, my unit takes 11 seconds to switch.
If you have both the dim the brightness & switch to night view options enabled, you will see the screen gradually dim before switching to night view this also takes 11 seconds but you do see the brightness change. This is how I realised my unit was working, it does have to be in the car cradle. |

I thought my 510's light sensor was faulty as the other day I tried putting my finger over the light sensor (while docked) and it didn't switch to night view, Also tried again undocked but didn't work so just tried it again in the car (10pm) and it worked straight away maybe it has something to do with the time i,e it will only come on 6pm till 6am? |
