I have a TT1 and downloaded the French map no problems, I now have another TT1 and want to do the same, I know I will have to pay again, I added the second one to my products, then went to change my device to set that up so I could download for the new one, it changed my device to the second one but still shows the french map with my first product code, how do I get the french map on to the second unit, I thought just by changing device I could jump from one to the other but it says you cant for six months, the TT site does not seem to be easy.

The saving of your data in the "My TomTom" section is entirely optional (although recommended). All you really need is to own two separate product codes. You then use one code with one TTOne and the other code with the other TTOne's device ID to activate either map. _________________ Lutz

Thanks Lutz, but as I need both units working at the same time I need different activation codes, so I assumed I would have to pay and download again on the second units codes, I dont seem to be able to do this

I'm sure you know that entering your product and device codes on the TTCode.com site to get your activation code is a totally different thing to registering your products and devices on the TomTom website.
Am I right in thinking that your problem is that you aren't being allowed to download the map at all?
If so, get on the phone and tell them what is going on. Other people have reported that the TomTom site cannot believe you might actually have two units, or sell one and buy another! |
