A little self-help first?
This topic has been discussed on this forum more than any other. Have you tried reading or using the search facility at all?
For example at the very top of the index page is Announcement: TomTom announce the GO map upgrades [Goto page: 1 ... 15, 16, 17 ] surely a good place to start? That actually announced last year's upgrade, but if you read the last couple of pages, it gives plenty of information, including links to the TomTom site where you can buy and download new maps now and the information that if you can wait for a month or so TomTom usually announce a cheaper upgrade route in late summer.
Sorry I'm not going to re-type the links again here, but it has all been said many times before if you look. |

I think Andy may have got out of bed the wrong side this morning
Yes you can upgrade you maps, by paying money to TT. The feeling is that there is a new upgade out soon so it is probably best to wait until it is announced. Whether you will notice any real difference on the roads you use is a mute point. And remember inevitably even new maps can be 1 to 2 years out of date for some areas by the time they are issued.
TT710 is not just about newer maps - they do have more features, but whether those features are worth paying for is another matter. _________________ Peter

End of a long day. Lots to do helping to get the "other" forum back up and running.
Love answering peoples questions, but so often you realise you typed exactly the same thing only yesterday... |

You can't be too hard on folk. People look to forum users for help. They have a problem and are looking for a quick fix. We were all newbies once. You could always choose not to answer and let someone else do it.
I don't mean to be too critical but it's nice to be nice and to create a welcoming impression to folk who may not have the knowledge you have. _________________ Tommo...
