MioMap is supporting external POI's from version
3.0.75. You are able to download them in format
that MioMap requires.
My C710 has MioMap v3.11, so if you buy one now it should be OK.

Thanks Sally but I think the question that I should be asking is "How do you get the POIs from POIhandler to your C710 device.?
I keep on hearing that you can use POI Warner but its not clear. |

I haven't looked at POI Handler yet other than to check that it does claim to work. The C710 comes with a year's free POI updates using its own updating software 'Mio Sync', so it's not an urgent problem. I think you'll need to check with POI Handler/Warner support.

Heres the answer I got from POI Warner (navigating.de)
Unfortunately we have no release date for POI-Warner - MioMap V3. Please contact Mio if compatibility with POI-Warner is planned.
If you wish, we will keep you up to date about POI-Warner for MioMap V3.
