Just installed an upgrade to ST2005 on my ICN510. Not the most intuative process but anyway it flashed the ICN and installed the upgraded version.
Removed the Maps ( old ST3.0 ) and now the problems starts.
After restart there is no problem to reconnect to the PC, Active Sync pick up the ICN but when I start Navman SmartST desktop I after several minutes get the error message "Read Stream Error"
I can still connect to the ICN via Active Sync, browse the content of the ICN, copy to and from the ICN etc.
Tried to reinstall the SmartST desktop but same error.

Hi.
Have you uninstalled the desktop ST software and installed the new one with your 2005 disks.
If all fails go to the Navman website surf through the online manual, or your manual on your desktop' find the chapter on how to uninstall your iCN. Give that a go, and then install your software again.
Surf my old posts, lots of info on ‘like’ topics.
Regards

Works now, installed everyting from scratch, deleted the backup library on the ICN and uninstalled the SmartST desktop, cleaned the registry and put eveything back
Now it's updated.
And my view on Navman support, well, as they never answered any of my emails, hard to tell, but they are probably very good when they get to it
