Hello I would be grateful if someone could iffer me any adivice with my lack of GPS connection. I am using the following:-

Axim X51v
Medion-Navigator software (2003) on a card which I had on a previous PDA.
Polstar GPS wired mouse receiver.

When it is all connected I get the message ‘No GPS has been recognised, check the power supply, all cables and settings of the GPS connection’

I have tried all these but to no avail. I cannot get a connection. I have tried all the ports (1-16) and made sure no other programs are running. If I go into the GPS settings on the Axim they are set up as follows:- PROGRAMS: GPS program port1, HARDWARE: Port (none) BAUD RATE 4800. I have also tickes ‘manage GPS automatically’

I have tried with all different combinations of port settings.

I’d be grateful for any help at all. Is the software not compatible?

Thanks very much

First of all, since your GPS is "pre-owned", was it for the same PDA and are you sure that it is working or you have the correct cables and connectors?

No it was from Medion PDA that was sold in Aldi's a few years ago. I had mine stolen from my car and the Dell is a replacement.

I have all the connections/cables ok and they seem to be working fine i.e it is charging the PDA and the GPS mouse ok.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers
