I have a Garmin TMC 12 unit which has a small aerial wire (Stub) attached to it.
Do most of you think this will be sufficient for an RDS Signal ?
Would it be possible to cut the Aerial end and attach it to a Y splitter that connect to my Aerial (i.e hard wire it to my aerial) |

If you are in the UK (or are trying to use it in the UK) - then I suspect you are one of the first to have the GTM12, and I for one, would be interested to hear how well it works.

Hi Swing,
I'm in the UK.
I manage to source one from ebay,
8) with a receipt from some shop in east London for what it's worth..
Will let you know how I get on once I've had a proper chance to use it...
Can you help me verify if it has a UK subscription.
It currently shows as RAC:Live Life time subscription but it says it's won;t get activated until I have a RDS * GPS signal. Which I don cos I can see traffic details.
I persume then it's technicaly feasible for me to directly connect it to a y splitter. |

Which I don cos I can see traffic details. | This doesn't sound so good, I'm not sure if this is standard for the GTM units - SpeedCam / BrummyGit (or anyone else with a GTM TMC unit - did your's say something similar the first time you used it?)
