where does my europe map go and what should the file name be

Hello all, i have got a little confused, i bought a phone from a friend it had tomtom5 on it and various maps, the british one works fine but it also has europe on it but it doesn't seem to find it, i'm wondering if it's in the correct folder and if the file name is right, currently it's in it's own folder called 'Europe map' however the mid file inside is titled 'Major_roads_of_europe'
Is thsi something to do with it? Please help !!! Thanks in advance[/b]

Wouldn't it be best to ask the friend who sold it to you if the European maps were working when he owned it?

If I'm right the Major Roads of Europe maps will be for TomTom 3 and will not work for you. With TT5, they introduced the concept of Plus maps which include major roads of Europe in addition to the country maps. So you'd need a GB Plus map.
