You need to re-name the existing data.chk file to something like old_data.chk before starting to copy the new files, the existing file resides in the programs/ navigator folder.
Then re-name the downloaded file to data.chk, dock the PDA to the PC and using Windows Explorer locate the revised file that you have just re-named right click select "Copy".
Still using Windows Explorer go to the mobile device / programs/ navigator folder, right click and select "Paste" this will copy the revised file across to your unit.
Soft reset the device, give the reset button a short poke with the stylus, this is required to clear the old files out of memory, then go to the manage POI/ Warn when near POI and configure the warnings, use the test button to hear the alerts, as they will still carry the old names - Mike |
