|

HI there.
Ive downloaded (twice now) the speed cameras database for my Garmin streetpilot 310, and unzipped the files successfully.
When I launce the Garmin POI loader and navigate to the directory where it is stored on my C: it just isnt happening.
Has anyone got any bright ideas as this would be handy.
Cheers

Hi
thanks for your reply.
No Ive not updated the software ias it only arrived 5 days ago new, so i thought it would have the up to date software running on it.
Would this make a difference to the problem I outlined

yes you can avoid motorways if you go into the navigation menu by pressing the spanner and then navigation and then avoidances |

I dont want to avois motorways. I want the unit to only allow use of main roads. The other day it took me over the moors on a very isolated road that was little more than a farmers track.
NB
Successfully upgraded the software and loaded the speed cameras database.
Cheers

then go in avoidances and tick all the boxes except highways and it should send you via the motorways if it is the faster or shorter route you can always touch the top banner and it will list all the turns and roads
remember on the garmins the speed camera icons only show if you are exceeding the limit but you should get a warning tone when you are near them itd normally 1000-1500 feet |

Off the top of my head it was listed as a "single file" download!
Can you get rid of one for another. if so how.
