Are the Maps that come with TT5.21 more upto date than the one I use with TT3?
If so could you just copy them to the TT3 maps folder and it will work?
Thanks for reading. |

As far as I know the latest TT UK map is v605. If it is on an SD card you can try it with TT3 but I cant say if it will work or not. |

Don't even bother wasting time doing this as it will not work, if you need vs5 maps then you need the vs5,21 software on the device - Mike |

You can only use TT5 maps with TT5 application software. You can get the TT5 application from TomTom for nothing but you must have maps which are registered. You can buy them for around £100, but, they are updating the maps some time soon apparently so you would then have to pay out for the upgrade to have the latest maps.
My advice for what it is worth is to wait for the upgraded maps which should (TT have stated so) be available for a special upgrade price for a limited period, the last time they did this they allowed people with older versions of TT to upgrade at the spcial price. Last time if my memory serves me correctly it was 59 euros which included all the detailed maps of Western Europe.
I hope that this information is of some use to you. _________________ Tom

You can?, I've browsed the tomtom website and cant see anything about getting it for nothing, they only seem to sell it with the maps, not the application on its own, or have I missed something. _________________ They dont like it up em sir, They do not like it up em! |

Sorry, I did not make it very clear.
If you download the latest update http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?FID=3361&Language=1 it will be the full application, once installed you should be able to install the maps which will then require registration which will require your device to be connected. _________________ Tom
