Can anyone guide me on the following?
I have found a supplier for a new copy of "InfoMap 7.0 Street Router Europe" and "InfoMap 7.0 Street Router" which I think is just the UK
Directions Ltd (the oem supplier) say they are no longer available.
However I'd like to know is it as good as "InfoMap Navigator - 16 countries" and "InfoMap Navigator - GB and Ireland" which seems to be the current versions. or what advantages would I have with the new versions?
Presumably they all have voice navigation?
Also, do the Europe versions have all the info contained on the GB/UK only versions?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

Oooh Deja-Vu, I answered the exact same query on sci.geo.satellite-nav earlier today
I can't comment on the Europe version but there were lots of bugs in the
pre-Navigator versions including a very flaxy voice command module. I am currently testing InfoMap Navigator GB/Ireland and it's very good, surprisingly so considering it's not very well known.
The interface is a little complex but the voice navigation is clear and concise, the maps are relatively up to date, it can look up UK PostCodes, you can load all the map data to HDD and the on-screen navigation is a model of clarity.
Given the low price of Navigator I'd go for the current version which
includes updates and bug fixes _________________ Darren Griffin |

InfoMap Navigator Great Britain & Ireland is verry good for the price but if you want to use it in Ireland Only Dublin , Cork and Gallway mapping is on the disk so if you want to use it for Ireland think again! |

Update;
"InfoMap 7.0 Street Router Europe" and "InfoMap 7.0 Street Router"
Eventually found out the above does not have voice navigation like its later versions, therefore not what I require. Plus they are quite old products which wasn't made clear on Amazon!
I hope the above is of use to someone. |
