I have an ipaq hx 2790 and tomtom. I have been using it for six months with no issues.
Yesterday i used it to locate a place by searching with the map. Since then I have been unable to start up tomtom sucessfully.
On start up it takes me to the beginning screen which is a warning about using nav software and driving and then a blue screen which says it cannot find ANY maps.
What do I do now.
I have not made a back up - yes I know I should have done but totally forgot .
My wife has a memory card for her tomtom 5, can I use this to make any required copies / transfer of maps, if so where are they located on the card?
Thanks for any help or advice |

Have you tried a soft reset of the Ipaq? That sometimes work. _________________ Peter

If a soft reset means pushing the little pin button with the stylus then yes I have done a soft reset.
If it is somthing else please advise how to do a soft reset.
Thanks

Yep, thats it.
Have you tried removing the sd card and putting it back? Could also try removing it, doing a soft reset then putting it back.
As last resort could try hard reset but that will wipe all your personal settings - so need to do full backup first. Not sure how you do hard reset on your Ipaq - but somebody else should be able to tell you - and it will be in the manual. _________________ Peter
