I have tried to install the updated speed cameras but its saying 'not enough memory' Is there a way you can delete what's already in so that they can be reinstalled? |

right, i presume then it's one of the newer ones with no memory card?
if so then the speed cams should fit on it. i know people with th enew i3's have space for around 20,000 poi's (speed cams make up about 8,000) - are you uploading other points at the same time? if so then it might be worth delting some of the other csv files that you don't use... such as wi-fi (about 2,000 points)
not sure if people have managed to use an additional transflash card to get points loaded on but it could be worth looking into it.

I am sorry for being a pest about this but I am a beginner to all this. I did what you told me to do, got everything installed ok but it is still not detecting all the speed cameras in my area. Have you any idea where I might be going wrong? The first one I put in worked perfectly, it's since I've tried to use the most recent update from Garmin?? |

do they show up in 'where to - food hotels and more - custom points'?
if not then they're not installed. if they do show up then they will only bong at you if you're near to or over the speed limit.
make sure that if you uplooad any other poi's that you do them at the same time as the speed camera ones else it will remove any previously installed points before uploading new ones.

Earlier i3's stored the maps and POIs on a removable memory card, but later i3's use internal memory.
It's quite possible that updating a later unit's firmware (which is stored in internal memory) deletes any POIs that you've installed.
Check they're still there (as MaFt suggested) and reinstall them if not. |
