Hi I was just wondering when my new Tomtom 510 will have full compatability with the pocket GPS pois (As in version 6 firmware and being able to add cameras to my database) I also would like to know if its possible to have a countdown to the cameras as my Road angel used to do. All i get at the minute is warning gatso ahaed for instance. It would be nice if I got a beep till I got through the "danger zone" Also I find that when I have put the software on my tomtom I loose a lot of my menu options. Can anyone help (I think its something to do with the MNU files) Sorry to sound like a Noob but I am a novice with this new system and its took me a few days to get it working to an extent but still not right.

Kind Regards

You already have full compatibility with the camera POIs. It's the same for all TomToms.
What you don't have is the POICapture add-on. It does say on the download page that they don't have a working version for the 510/710/910 yet, but part of the package is an .mnu file that rearranges the menus to put the capture icon on page one. You really need to uninstall everything that POI Capture has put onto your system, but if you just delete the .mnu file you should get the default menus back at least.

Also, do you realise that you don't actually NEED POI Capture at all? All it does is automate a process you can do manually anyway, thus reducing the number of button presses a bit. Here's a link to a post of mine describing how to add cameras manually: POST (3rd entry)

Finally, you should already be getting a flashing on-screen countdown of the distance to each camera. I don't know of any way to make a sound that keeps going PRECISELY until you reach the camera, but you could just change the noise or the spoken warning to something longer.
Keep an eye on Ray's site http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/ which has some very good spoken warnings and the POI Extend utility to add more warning sounds for the older TomToms. Hopefully he will have versions for the 510/710/910 soon.
