I am plannig a trip to Romania. I found on the Romanian Garmin page a link to a supplier of Romanian maps. As the price is very high, I would like to know if there is anybody out there, who has some experience with this product.
For the moment the map is only offered in a package of routable maps and topo maps. This makes the product from my point of view to expensive as an add-on for me i3. I did not find any references to the product in the web. So I think the supplier should have some offer to introduce the product in the market.
Who buys a product for about 200€ (including shipping) when you no nothing about the quality. _________________ http://streetpilot.wikispaces.com |

As you can see in my signature I use the Romanian maps for Garmin.
It is called RO.A.D. 2005 and the current version is 1.21.
The company whose link is on the Garmin’s page is also the producer of the map.
Since it was made locally, corrected and checked out with the contribution of GPS enthusiast, it is quite accurate and it has all major and minor roads down to the tinniest local road.
I cannot comment on the price. The effort was entirely local with no contribution from Garmin or Navtech.
By the way the Romanian maps from iGO costs around 230EUR _________________ Nuvi 765T

Hi arammisch!
If you want a free map of Romania, you can go there.
You will have to use IMG2GPS software to download the map onto your i3.
Works very well but not all the maps on Mapcenter are autoroutable.
Hope this helps !
