I have a small SD card so I cannot store too many maps on it. I have saved maps for both Florida and Georgia and they both have different folders on my SD card. I can also switch between both of them in TomTom Navigator.

Question is with the Florida map loaded, can I plan a trip to somewhere in Georgia. If so how? If not, what must I do?

Thanks in advance.

TomTom does not do routing between maps.

In Europe they supply maps which are fully detailed for one country and have major routes for the rest of europe - so you can load the map either of the starting country or the ending country and switch maps part way through the trip.

I assume that the GO 910 has a single map for the USA. As far as TTN 5 goes of there isnt a map with both the states then you will have to switch maps when you reach the end of the map which is far from ideal because it cannot give you the correct route out of the state.

Other products do cross map routing - TomTom does not Sad

Your other option is to buy the TomTom Plus map of US Southeast region. This occupies 217.7 MB on the memory card Sad but covers :-

Quote:
Detailed regional map completely covering the states of Tennessee (TN), North Carolina (NC), Mississippi (MS), Alabama (AL), Georgia (GA), South Carolina (SC) and Florida (FL).
The state of Louisiana (LA) is partially covered (including New Orleans).

For european customers the cost is 59.95 euros.
