Hello.......
Have you ever driven away in you car, and then had the SATNAV switched on only to find it seems to take a little longer to get a fix?
Did you know you need to be stationary for the system to get its initial fix point?........ I start my SATNAV before I drive away, but for me, I often start from within a garage or a works building, so there is not the initial GPS Fix from within the Building, therefore I`m already on the move when the SATNAV actually sees the Sky!!
Also I have noticed with ease the amount of brackets that accomodate SATNAVS, Radar Detectors, Mobile Phones, Coke cans and whatever?
These devices are getting smaller which makes carrying or hiding your valuable SATNAV a little easier, however, leaving the mounting brackets visible in the vehicle is a sure way of getting an unwanted visitor?.......it only takes seconds to smash and grab?
My iCN610 was designed for a 12Volt supply feed, then further reduced by the adaptor, but NAVMAN informs me that it is safe to run the system on 24 Volts, as long as you turn the engine on before plugging your Navman in to the power source. This will prevent a possible power surge damaging the adaptor or the SATNAV device.
This then makes the iCN610 suitable for both 12/24 Vehicle use! _________________ Device:TOMTOM START 52 & SNOOPER 3ZERO
Take care, keep your eyes on the road, not the navigator?
