G'day,

I've been reading and reading various topics on this forum. Its great, but I'm still a bit confused.

I would like to get a I-mate Mini S (or whatever it is called). I went to an O2 store over the weekend and found that they only sell their xda model with a plan (I already have a work Vodafone plan). So I guess I need to get the I-mate version (which is the same?)?

Some questions:
1. Does the I-mate Mini S have any major issues with the newest TomTom software and Bluetooth GPS receiver?

2. Will I be able to receive calls (via a Bluetooth headset) while using the GPS?

3. Is this a practical choice? I mean, I could just go for a PDA and BT receiver without the phone.

My dream product would be:
- PDA with Wifi and GPS builtin
- Compatible with TomTom software
- Decent performance
- price wise < £350.

Thanks in advance,

aK

Add to this list TMobile MDA Vario, Imate Kjam, Qtek 9100 all HTC Wizard variants. Can be found on eBay but not cheap. When I signed up an extra ~£50 got me a 200min/40MB contract over 18 mths. Also make sure it is sim unlocked to work with your Voda if sourced from a different provider.

None with v 5.2 but do not try to install 5.0.

Not tried myself but read at several sources this is possible.

Works well for me. The choice is yours, one device or juggle.
