Newbie with 3D problem

Now had my software installed for almost a week, and very impressed especially as i've now got the speed camera db and Checkpoint installed.

Two questions/problems.

1. If I chose 2D maps or show the GPS status on screen during my journey everything is fine. If I change to 3D maps the system seems to shut down after about a minute. Anybody else had this problem?

2. I've loaded ChechPOInt 2.0.2, but on the authors web site they are up to version 3.1.3. Is there anybody using the newer version andif so any advantages or problems?

I havne't heard of this problem, but it smacks to me that it's probably resource related. How much memory do you have available on the left hand of the slider if you go into the memory applet in START | SETTINGS ? You shoudl be aiming for about 12mb. Anything less than 8mb will definatley cause problems.

You may need to drag your slider across to the right to give less program storage and more available memory, or delete some things in main memory or move them to storage card if you are short on memory.
