TomTom on C600 or M600

Hi. Can anyone tell me if TomTom Mobile works OK on an Orange M600? I'm thinking of upgrading from an SPV E200 and can't decide whether to go for a C600 or the new M600.

Also, at the moment, I'm using Ver 5.0 on my SPVE200 which I must admit seems to drop out and freeze more frequently than Ver 4.43. Is there some patch that I should install?

If it does work on C600 & M600, which version of Mobile do I need?

From what I have seen, TomTom for the C600 and M600 version are quite different and incompatible because of the different hardware.

The C600 is more of a phone with added PDA functions and the M600 is more of a PDA with phone functions added.

My T-Mobile MDA Compact II (HTC Charmer) runs most PDA software I have tried whereas the old C500 I had would only run software specifically for the Smartphone.

From My experience with TomTom on a C600, I wouldn't bother.

It mostly works but the niggles aren't worth it in my opinion. Especially if you live in Bristol as I do where the postcodes don't work on a C600, (although they did work fine on a C500!!)

I use TT on my C600 and its fine. I did try using it on a C600 with the AKU2 update but that was pants and our Orange rep organised a replacement to go back to the original ROM. All is fine now - have been using it for about 5 weeks with no crashes or lockups.
