|
|
I managed to buy the TomTom Go 910 from PCWorld on friday & everything seems to be working including the Home software except when I switch the 910 on after being switched off overnight the time has changed, this has done it both mornings. I have done the hard reset & done the clock sync & it seems to correct it until the next morning.
Puzzled to why this keeps happening! _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

Have you let it acquire a GPS position yet? If not it may be showing the time of the zone it thinks it is still in. _________________ Kam |

I had exactly the same problem even after a GPS fix, I then checked and reset the language to English UK and all has worked perfectly since. |

I have just tried your possible solution, so I will see what happens tomorrow morning.
By the way what firmware did you get with your 910 as mine is v.6.010 but I think I read somewhere that they were shipping the uk ones with v.6.020. Mine was also in German, took a little bit of working out but I got there in the end. _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

I have also just upgraded my firmware now to version 6.020.
See what happens in the morning.
By the way when I am connected to the Home software & go to planning, my virtual version of the 910 shows the time as 1 hour ahead of my real 910. There seems to be no way of changing this though, as the virtual clock icon is faded out. _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

I must be going crazy... I thought the UK were NOT getting the new TomTom's yet?? Thats the last thing I read when I checked on here around 3/4 days ago.
How have you got the 910?? does this mean the 510/710 are available?
Thanks

Yes the 910 & the 510 are now available at the following shops:
PCWorld
Dixons
Currys
Comet
and maybe some more shops aswell but you will have to be quick as they are selling fast. You can try to reserve one at PCWorld online then collect at store. There is also a instore voucher available giving you an extra 10% off.
Hope this helps _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

Haven't heard of any availability from online retailers yet though, presumably as they dont sell anywhere near as many as the outlets listed above. |
