Does any one know if you can use the TomTom wired GPS with the HP 3635 ?
My BT reciver is on its way out and I have been offered a wired TT one. I know I will need the TT charger/adaptor for it, but I dont want to buy either until I am sure it will work !

What now, 6365 or 3635?
The 63xx can only use BT GPS receivers (or worst case SD in combination with memory card). It does NOT have a serial port. _________________ Lutz

Opps Yes it is the 6365 (my fingers type faster than my brain) Sorry !
On my friends HP's car lead, he has the conector that goes into the bottom of the unit and then about half way down the lead the GPS reciever plugs in.
Am I right in thinking that the serial port is the one that this lead connects to on his, and on mine it is just for connecting via the sync cradle and in car charger ?
Sorry if I sound thick, its probally because I am ! |

The connector is indeed the same as on the older iPAQs (4700, 3970 etc) but on the 63xx this connector does not carry the serial port (only the USB).
So you can plug the GPS receiver in physically, but it will not work. _________________ Lutz

Thank you for the quick reply. I will have to stick with the BT then.
Any one got a MK2 Tomtom Bluetooth for sale ?
