Paul,
You answered a question I was going to post as to whether the Garmin i3 will 'tell' you when a camera is near.
I noticed that your signature states 2.7 and not 2.9.
I've just installed 2.9. Can you please explain why you have not updated.?
TIA |

Thanks.
I've just driven 500 miles with 2.90 and it seems fine. My first i3 locked up on updating and left me with an empty device. Took that back and bought another, which I then upgraded fine.
FWIW and I apologise if people know of this (I'm new here), garmin sent me a link http://www.gpsinformation.org/perry/agree.html that allows you to download the exe for each version, but by that time I had already taken it back. Just agree at the bottom anf you have a directory with all versions. |

welshgasman - Thanks. Ego now set to "Inflated" Mode.
As you have no doubt seen in the thread above not everyone has had an easy time with 2.9. As you can see from my Sig i have tried 2.9 twice with a number of tips from Garmin (Hard Reset, remove POIs) and it still white screens and locks up as well as updates very slowly. As i need my Sat Nav for work i went back to the better 2.7. |

Not a problem.
Sometimes it's useful to have the answers "in the open" for all to read and discuss. |

Don't know how, and if I had and he happened to be 'away' I'd get no reply.
Anita was kind enough to jump in and answered my question.
In other forums I use we do not have that option, so everything is open to everyone, and I'm used to that as well, so partly habit. |

I think the point that was being made was that in a forum environment you generally ask the community as a whole rather than address questions to a single person as you did in this case _________________ Darren Griffin |
