Hi Simon, my nuvi 300 arrived yesterday, so I'm a bit of a newbie, but this worked for me.
I downloaded the largest database with 20+ files, it gives more information than the other 2 options.
Down load the zip file to your desktop, then make a new folder in "my documents", Extract the files into that folder, it will rename itself Garmin speed etc etc.
Open the garmin POI Loader, follow the instrutions and when prompted to select the file to upload open the browser and point it to the file you have just created in my documents.
It should then upload to your nuvi which should be connected via a USB cable to your PC.
When your nuvi is connected correctly it's screen will show a PC and cable, or something like that.
You may have to point your PC to the removable storage drive (which is your nuvi), I can't remember exactly, but it all seemed easy at the time, It only takes a few seconds and will say upload complete or similar.
Good luck, Regards Gary, aka DrX. :D |
