Unlocked SmartST?

I recall that in the sunny days of August we were wondering whether the unlocked SmartST software supplied with the 4400 would be made available to a wider audience. The MD of Navman was on vacation and all would be revealed when he returned. Has anyone heard anything to update that?

I also seem to recall that there was to be an upgrade to this version of the software to make it PC2003 compatable (first week of September I think) is there any further news of that anywhere?

As far as can be estalished, the GPS 4400 PPC 2003 patch will be out next week, and the unlocked software won't be made available.

I haven't heard any more on this subject, so I suspect the decision has been made to keep it as is.

As far as I can see the patch never did make it to the European website

Ooooh, ouch! As most of you know I was a judge in the Pocket PC 2003 Awards, judging the applications was extremely difficult, products were reviewed and rated on current versions throughout the judging period. Sorry, can't tell you what I voted for! Happy
