Tom Tom 910 and camera POI

Hi, I'm new here so be gentle 8O

I've just sold my 700 to upgrade to the 910 and was considering subscribing to the new camera database, I am hesitent as it may not work on the version 6 software/firmware installed in the 910.

Although I understand its not out until May, does anyone know if the POI for the camera locations will work on the new 910?

Also how does the TMC unit work? Is it already digital and will the unit be affected by the switching to digital when all the analogue transmitters go off air?

The POI for the camera locations will work pretty much the same. With the new Text To Speech technology it is easier to have custom POI warnings too.

As I understand it the TMC receiver needs to be attached to the serial port on the windscreen mount, similar to the Navigon and Medion units.

You bring up an interesting point regarding digital radio... TMC is still analogue. I don't think it will be necessary any more once digital radio is in place.
