Tom Tom with Kirrio GPS

Hi new and a begginner

Got a HP 1950 navigato system with Via Mitchellin. I am finding the software is good but not great (no real postcode finder),
The GPS is a Kirrio car cradle. Would Tom Tom software work with this or is the software given to work in line with the cradle?
Friend has offered last year version (5 I think) so worth getting then?

Hi Tabbs, there have been a number of posts re using the Kirrio cradle and combining it with TomTom, some good some bad - most seem to get the GPS working but fail to use the amplified speaker, try using the search link at the top, to start you off have a read of these two :
