I have bought a CD with many POIs on (before I realised they can be downloaded for free ) and then found out my SD card wasn't big enough. I have now bought a bigger SD card as the sales blurb said everything would fit onto a 256Mb SD card.
That was before I realised I can only fit 39 POIs onto Tomtom One
True, I would not likely need all of them in any one time, but is it possible to store them on the SD card and then activate some and deactivate others?
It seems a shame that there are many good POIs plus others I want to add myself when I come across them, but not much good if I can't use them.
Also, on the subject of POIs, is there any way of removng the many useless ones TT supply as standard as I am not going to need to know where the nearest frontier crossing is, or golf course etc?
Sorry if this Q has been asked before. Any help greatly appreciated

Yes it is possible just create a new folder in the root of the Memory card, call it whatever you want to, then put the POI files that you are not using into this, you can then use the "Cut" and "paste" options within File Explorer to migrate the files between the Map folder and the POI folder, not easy to keep track of but it is possible, just remember each ov2 file MUST have a coresponding bmp file for the system to work correctly

It can be messed around with but it is not easy and there is little to be gained with respect to custom POI's that you download and install, I wouldn't bother to be perfectly honest - Mike
