Hi Mike, first I have to say great product, and great value for money, however I have a couple of observations and questions.
Reading your web site you discuss the construction of the various types of files i.e.gatso, mobile, redline, temp, specs, continiental and Single file version.
On downloading for my GARMIN Street Pilot 3i I got the above appart from the single file version?
I also then downloaded the complete set (23 file) still no single version.
As it happened the Garmin POI software just seems to have picked all the files up and added some 8800 odd cameras as POI to my system
Can you advise why I get a Speed Alert of 19mph in a 30mph zone road?and Speed Alert of 25mph in a 40mph zone road? Is this an error in your database or is there a reason for it?
Also, Is it possible to turn off the speed camera function once the file has been uploaded to the Garmin Steetpilot 3i?
It also then crosses my mind that if there are error in the database or a speed camera(s) is\are removed, will updatinig the files to my SAT NAV know that a single POI has been removed, i.e. how is the information overwritten if I can't isolate it in some way?
WRT turning off the alarms on a Garmin - yes it can be done - I do not have a I3, but on by 340 and my 76CSX there is an option in the setup menu to turn off proximity alarms
Regarding updates.. just drop new new csv files into your Garmin POI directory, attach your GPSn ad run POI loader again - it releads all of the POIs again .. not the best way but as its via USB its quick
