Detailed City Maps

we are having a weekend away in edinburgh in a couple of weeks i have seen in tomtom site that you can download detailed maps of cities. Are these any good and worth doing also can anyone point in the direction of where i get any decent POI for edinburgh

How good the Citymaps are depends on what you have at the moment. If you already have the GB map then they will be of no use to you as the data is the same (roughly).

Can't help with point 2, I'm afraid.

Are there any detailed maps available for Dublin? I have the GB Plus map but it only maps Dublin down to major roads level.
