Now on the Dixons Tax-free shop website as "coming soon..."
TT510 at £297.86
TT910 at £425.52
To get these prices, you have to have a boarding card for a domestic or international flight from the uk (shops are all on the air side of security).
Good deal if you happen to be travelling... |

Dixons also have a landside shop in Terminal One at Heathrow just beside Gate 2. This is the place to buy things if you are non resident in the EU as they will give you a VAT Refund Personal Export form which means that you can then go airside and get the VAT back a second time!!! If you buy something airside they won't give you the VAT export form as it is actually VAT free there (if you're a non EU resident) |

I would not assume "Duty Free" necessarily means cheaper...Before travelling abroad I make a list of items I want to buy and research them on the internet to find the best price .I have been very disapointed at how much more expensive the Duty Free free prices actually are on some of the items despite the the Duty Free slogans..

Indeed. I realised years ago that Duty Free shops work on the basis that most people will assume that they are cheaper, and have no ready access to comparable price data.
It's still worth buying tobacco and drink there, but of course you can only do that now if you are travelling outside the EU. |
