GO700 POIs

POIs for SOME categories on my new GO700 start miles away. First POI for a skating rink is 239m away at Patinoire (I am in Stoke-on-Trent)... now I happen to know there are some closer!. I can scroll to others further away, but the closest is 239miles. Same for swimming pools - nearest is 164miles... Checked TomTom site and got latest 5.440 but it does not help with POIs. Trying to avoid 3rd party 'fixes'. Any ideas anyone? TIA
PS Is it possible to delete unwanted programmed 'destinations'?

The built-in POI's are in the Map Data, not in the software program. They will change, slightly, everytime there is a Map Update. I'm afraid they leave a lot to be desired in GB.

By 'programmed destinations' I'm presuming you mean Recent Destinations.

There are 2 methods of removing these.

1. Create more, newer, destinations and these will push the old ones out of the buffer. Oldest out first. From memory there is a maximum of 24.

2. Remove the .cfg File in the Map Folder. This will force TT to create a new .cfg File the next time it starts. PLEASE NOTE. This method will remove ALL your Personal Settings, such as Home, Warn When Near and Favourites, etc.
