i have purchased a tom tom go which was sold to me as a 300,
i am not sure how to make sure it is actually the 300,
the information contained on the device is

the number on the bottom of the device is c_no b15304000147

Your number from the bottom of the device is uncannily like my GO.

The better number to look at is the number between the 2 rows of contacts on the base. The GO (Classic) has 4D00.001, so have a look there.
