I own my own logistic company and I want to buy some navigation units for my drivers, but before I decide what to buy, I would like to know from others what their after sales experience is.

I’m sure that all manufacturers are good and that all devices can bring you to your destination.
But I can’t find any information regarding the warranty handling. I am particularly interested in the handling of out of warranty repairs.

Please just let me know,…

you get your 12 month warranty on any sat nav...garmin have been very good in the past resolving out of warranty issues quickly and most times free of charge...the average price of an i3 at the moment works out at only approx 30 pence per day, which if you consider driving around looking for a location for say 10/15 minutes, you can waste alot of petrol/diesel in that time..

i've seen from various threads that garmin have an exellent reputation for out-of-warranty repairs as well as fast response for within-warranty too

In the past, Garmin have offered a fixed cost repair service for things like smashed screens or units which have died when they were out of warranty.

Not sure what will happen with the i3, the price really is rock bottom. Once the unit is a couple of years old you would probably just want to trade it in on a new one anyway (much like a mobile phone).

You're right Zogman, driving around cost more then a Navigation system would cost me per day.

Skippy.
Do you know if that fixed fee is for all models or only for the expensive models? There's no use paying 175 for somthing that I bought for 300,...
Or am I mistaking and are these fees not that High?

Garmin say they will restore your unit to "as new" condition even if it has been run over by a car or been completely mashed.

Have a look here for a list of prices.
