Should i replace the 3400 with the later 3450 SE sleev or go Bluetooth?
If bluetooth, whats considered, best value at the moment.
Thanks

The 3830 doesn't support Bluetooth, does it? Also, the Navman sleeve is getting on a bit, now, although the presence of the CF slot is extremely handy. Have you considered a CF expansion jacket and a wired receiver? _________________ Tim |

Hi Tim,
I do have a bluetooth CF sleeve for the Ipaq, this will take the microdrive.
As I travel a lot and hire cars I really either need to replace the navman or go bluetooth. This rules out a wired solution.
From what you know whats better the improved 3450 or bluetooth, if bluetooth which one and circa how much.
Another question:
Can the bluetooth GPS be left "on" in the car all the time ? So that you always have a fix or has the technology moved on and you dont have to wait up to five minutes for a fix? |

In that case I would definitely go for a modern BT receiver. Look for a SiRFStar 3 one. I'm afraid I've no idea which ones can be kept on all the time but hopefully someone else will jump in to help. _________________ Tim |
