I'm sure that this has probably been answered before, but is there anywhere i can get hold of some different/comedy voices for Destinator 3???
I have some Tomtom voices which i was going to make useful in destinator, although things like 1,2,3,5 etc. aren't in the tomtom voices, so i couldnt do it
I've just recorded a set of "Australian comical" voices for Destinator 3 ("Hang a Ewey"; "Roundabout" instead of "Circle"; etc) and I'm looking for a place to post them. The file size is just over 1 MByte.
The process is easy: There's plenty of good public-domain sound recording/editing software (I use Audacity), so one only needs to know the file format (I used .wav 16-bit PCM), what to name the files (use the names of the original voice .wav files in DestinatorApps/Destinator/Common/Interface/Voice/All), where to put the files (in a new subdirectory within DestinatorApps/Destinator/Common/Interface/Voice), and how to activate them (The alternative voice set magically appears in the voice options under the look-and-feel menu). Dont' forget to copy the .../All/DestinatorVoiceManeuvers.inf file to your new subdirectory. Oh, you'll also need a reasonable microphone, such as the one on a PC headset.
I'm interested in improving the comical voices, so if you have some funny ideas, please post them!
Finally... just for laughs... I'd like to record a "sexy female" version of the voices. (Instead of "U Turn", how about "Come back, big boy!" in a husky suggestive tone?). Do you have access to a willing accomplice with an appropriate voice?
