Hi im a new member to these forums.
I have a Nokia 6260 and i have put tomtom 5 onto it with a UK map. Its all working fine apart from when i make a call or recieve a call and the call ends, tom tom has loaded up and is displayed on the screen.
It did this on my other nokia that i had.
Is there any way to get rid of this.
I have been though all the settings and cant find anything.
Thanks any help would be really good. |

do you mean that TomTom is starting automatically after you complete a phone call? Or maybe it was already running in the background?
Exit TomTom through 6-6-5 _________________ Lutz

Yeh the tom tom is starting automatically after i end a call. I have gone into tomtom and exited the program by "exit application" on the tomtom menu. This seems to have solved the problem. Where as before i just hit the hang up button to exit tomtom.
Thanks for the help lbendlin. |

You must always stop TomTom using 6-6-5.
If you don't do that then TomTom will continue to run in the background, eating your battery at a furious rate as a consequence.
The behaviour you describe is by design, when a call ends it would be a lot of fiddling around with buttons to get back to TomTom, and if you are driving this can be dangerous. So when it detects an end of call, it brings itself to the foreground again. A good feature IMO. |
