Help! Yesterday I bought an i3 arrived home & loaded the POI software from the Garmin site & updated the software from V2.60 to 2.70, subscribed to the Pocket GPS site. All was going well but I have just spent what seems like an eternity trying to download the speed camera database. Whenever I try downloading it the POI software can't find it. When I go the folder that I have downloaded it into the file is there but looking at it's properties it just lists file and not a particular file type and I have tried evrything to try and open it but to no avail. As you can probably tell I am not the most computer literate of people so if any has any suggestions please use plain english. Thanks!
PS I am running Norton Antivirus & McAfee firewall on AOL. I mention this because in one listing somebody mentioned compatibility isssues with Norton Antivirus and I just wondered if this might have anything to do with it.
Any help appreciated. |

I take it you've unZipped the file? _________________ Chas

That's odd, both available files for Garmin are zipped when I download them... _________________ Chas

Just to make sure that it's not me who is the bumpkin I am clicking on Garmin in the Sat Nav Systems and then UK speed zoned complete under camera selections. Is this good so far? |

Not sure what file you have, but if it hasn't got a file extension then try adding the .zip file format to it and see if it will then un-zip
I have seen some other posts over the last few days on the forum saying the same thing, and solving it by doing that. |

Glad that worked.
I have just tried the Garmin download and it works fine for me, I get the .zip file format, might be your Anti-virus or Fire-wall, or maybe your ISP doing something strange. |
