What hapens is I put the card in the phone, it flashes up "memory full", click on the tomtom icon and it does nothing.
Eventually tomtom tell me to delete a voice to free up space.
I try to do it via fie manager on the phone, nothing.
I try to do it via USB cable, nothing.
I go out and buy a rsmmc card reader, it continually tries to autoplay, comes up as an available drive in my computer, disappears, comes back, continually and of it's own accord. So I can't delete or copy any of the information.
Oh yeah, the cards have been tried in other compatible phones and don't work, and the orange card that comes with the phone shows up perfectly with the card reader.
I'm pretty much out of options now, I was going to get the phone flashed with generic nokia firmware, but I'm not sure how that'll affect the phones functions.
It seems as though this is either a batch of faulty cards, in which case how come there are no other complaints, or less likely, a compatibility issue between Orange and TomTom(which doesn't explain the card reading problems)
Then use it to close the "Homescreen" application (you'll need to enable the display of hidden/system apps).
Hold down the menu key and switch to the telephone app. This is now your basic Nokia standby screen.
Go into the menu and run TomTom. It should now have more memory free to run.

You should return it to Tomtom.
On another forum I have heard there are faulty cards for the GB MOBILE 5 product. They should be 256MB RSMMC cards. However some of them are actually 128MB. So the content is written over the limit of the card capacity, making it unreadable. No other solution than asking TomTom for replacement. Make sure you get a 256 MB card. _________________ GO1005
