Only just got the HP and TT, and already thinking of updates!
Used the TT5 in earnest for the first time today, and although it worked faultlessly, I did notice a few (minor) map errors - for example, where a junction is now a roundabout (and has been for around a year)
Wondering how you go about making sure you have the latest maps, how often they are released and how much they cost? |

Once a year sounds good, but 60 quid doesn't!
Have I just missed an update then? The above mentioned "junction now a roundabout" must have been there a year or even more? Or are updates a bit flaky?! |

updates don't mean they are perfect... It can take many years before a reported issue is actually reflected in the map material. _________________ Lutz

Good point - even printed maps have this problem of course! |

TomTom 5 came out early summer 2005, and the maps reflected changes up to about 12 months prior to issue (with some notable exceptions). So the next release, probably in about 3 months time, might contain your new roundabout.

Does anyone know what version the GB map is on the TomTom site. Mine is v571. Is that the latest? |

cheers, so mine is well out of date then. I think I'll wait a bit longer though. Give them chance to put the new M62/A1 interchange on :D |

On the TomTom site the GB Plus map is 60 Euros not 60 Pounds which is about £41, so it's not too bad.
It's a shame they don't do the standard GB map cos I dont need major routes of Europe |
