I have downloaded speed camera data for my navman 510 but cannot open the zip file on my windows 98se computer. It asks for AcroRd32.exe, which it cannot find. I have AdobeReader6.0 but that does not help. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks J (Twoseven)

Sounds like your computer has got its file associations mixed up (it happens).
Somehow it has decided that .zip files are Adobe Acrobat format. (AcroRd32.exe is one of the Acrobat reader programs).

Later versions of Windows can de-compress zip files themselves, but I think that for Windows 98SE you will need to install Winzip. The latest version is not free, but you may be able to find older versions on the web that might be. (try http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=winzip).

Once it is installed you should be able to re-associate zip files with the correct program by starting Windows Explorer (not Internet explorer) then in the menus find "Folder Options" (it's on the "Tools" menu in Windows XP) and then the "File types" tab. Look down the list for ZIP and you should be able to tell Windows to open it with Winzip from now on. Another way is to hold the Shift button and right click on a zip file. Select "Open with..." and you should get a list of programs (select Winzip) and a box to tick saying something like "Always use this program to open this file type".

Working from memory of Win 98, so I might be a bit wrong in the detail but that's the general idea. Smile
