I recently bought Medion Navigator 5 (2 cds) from Ebay and installed them onto my 1GB SD card. The software installed ok but runs about 100 times too slow. ie - it takes about 5-10 minutes to load up and a very long time to enter a postcode and calculate a route (up to an hour!!). I've also noticed if I switch off the device it seems to work faster?!?!?

Could it be a fault with the xda or a problem with the fact it is "backup CD" software, ie. not from a Medion Memory vard?

I have not installed any other software to test to see if it is xda at fault.

Suggestions?

My best suggestion is not to buy illegal pirated software. that way it is much more likely to work properly.

TT5 usually runs fine on this machine I understand.

solved it!!! I amaze myself sometimes :D

Medion software seems to automatically try to find an internal GPS receiver as it is designed to be run on Medion PDAs. I changed the settings to external and searched for a GPS receiver and.....bingo!.......
I am now fully aware of my surroundings via SATNAV.

Thanks go to myself. he he :D
