Hi,

I have recently got myself a Global Sat BT 338 bluetooth GPS reciever to use with my Dell Axim x50 and Tom Tom 5. I am having trouble getting TT5 to use the BT 338 to get a fix from the satelites.

I have managed to pair the GPS reciever with my Axim without any problem, but I just can't seem to get the reciever to work with Tom Tom. I have the settings set to use other bluetooth gps and have tried using the BT UART on Com5 setting and also the Bluetooth Serial Port 7 and 8 but to no avail.

When I look at the Bluetooth connection status page I can see that Device BT-GPS-321380 is connected to BT-GPS COM Port. and that I have good signal strength. I suspect that there's something simple that i'm doing wrong, but I could do with some help to get me going if at all possible?

reprogram the receiver to emit NMEA data. TTN5 doesn't speak SiRF.

From what I read with the documentation cd that came with the GPS reciever, I thought that it emiited NMEA data as standard?? If not, how do I change this?

On the PC , use SiRFdemo, on the PocketPC use APLSiRF ( -} Google )
