When I download the database for my Navman and Unzip it the file are in .asc format surely they should be .csv and if they should be in .csv format where are they.

Thanks for any help in advance

The .asc ones work with Navman V3 and above and require no editing, unlike the .csv ones. Try it. 8)

I tried the asc files but they where not recognised by my V3 poi editor. A friend of mine had a older database in .csv format they where recognised but I got the following error when saving to device "No POI's found in input file". Yet they work on his Navman 520 but not on my 635

After reading your findings regarding the confusion with 'asc' & 'csv'files,I have installed the 'asv'files on my Navman 520 & it's working great.
Thanks for the advice
