Checkpoint 5 & TTN5.2

I have had TTN 5 for a while and recently installed Checkpoint 5 as I always liked Checkpoint 3 with TTN3 - but - I cannot make Checkpoint work with any button on my PDA in relation to the POI Recorder. If the option to use the 'contacts' button is selected (for example) then when that button is used, all I get is contacts and not POI recorder.
In addittion, if starting Checkpoint from within TTN5, the screen simply hangs with the rotating icon ...rotating ... for ever - and not actually loading.
The other frustrating thing is not being able to use / hear the warnings as set in Checkpoint. I have enabled and disbaled the POI warnings as within TTN5 - but it makes no difference.
The same thing will happen if I load Checkpoint first and then start TTN5 - though I don't get the hang issue.
All the POI's are displayed ok on the map - but without the POI Recorder, I canot remove or add any of the items as required.
Anybody else have this issue - and any remedies? I have installed an uninstalled any number of times!
